ENDORSEMENTS

"Dave Coggin and Performance Fitness for Athletes is the complete program for the high school, college, and pro athlete. The proper training is essential for the development of the player as well as the longevity of the players career, Dave and his program are meeting those needs."
John Savage, Head Coach of UCLA
"I came to Dave to change up my offseason workout routine, and with his unique experience and knowledge of what works best to get baseball players to another level, he provided me a program that I used this offseason. One that I will continuie to use throughout the season. He doesn't just rely on what he knows, Dave works along with professional teams and their offseason workouts to make my individual program right for me. Thanks again Dave. I will be leaning on you all season to keep motivating and helping me."
Dan Giese, Pitcher: New York Yankees & Oakland Athletics
"Technical, smart, creative, meaningful, and a difference maker...these are all descriptions of what Dave Coggin is able to provide young athletes of all ages. My son Adam has worked with Dave over the past two years, and his impact on Adam's ability as a pitcher has been nothing short of speacial. From mechanics to strength and conditioning. Dave has been able to provide a total package that has prepared Adam for both a Division 1 scholarship and recognition as one of the top pitchers coming out of high school in the 2010 MLB draft. As a father, I am so often most impressed with Dave's ability to teach the mind as well as the body. He is an outstanding role model for young athletes, and someone I am very proud to have had an impact on my son's life."
Greg Plutko Ed. D.
His son is Adam Plutko, Glendora High School, UCLA bound pitcher 2011
Dave's extensive background and professional experience enable him to provide superior programs which give eachathlete the tools they need to reach the next level. His individualized programs are designed to allow athletes to maximize their highest potential through a focus on proper mechanics, strength, and conditioning. In addition, Dave also has an outstanding ability to effectively teach the mental aspects of the game to young athletes. During the time that my son, Scott has worked with Dave I have seen a dramatic increase in his core strength, endurance, and velocity. Along with increasing his fastball velocity to 96 MPH this season, Scott has also experienced an increase in his consistency and overall strength and stamina. Dave's impact on my son's development as a pitcher has been extraordinary. Scott has earned a Division 1 scholarship to Pepperdine University and was recently drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2010 MLB draft. Dave's Performance Fitness for Athletes, along with his programs specifically designed for pitchers, are the perfect combination for an athlete striving to reach their full potential.
Bruce Frazier, Father of Scott Frazier Upland High School, Draft Pick for the Phillies
We were referred to Dave Coggin a couple of years ago for pitching lessons for my son, Alex. What we found with Dave was more than just a pitching coach. Dave offers a complete package with his individualized pitcher-specific training. Through his vast background and professional experience, Dave has put together a program that offers athletes the opportunity to maximize their abilities. Focusing on proper mechanics, core and shoulder strength as well as the mental aspect of pitching, Dave has helped Alex prepare for the next level. through his hard work with Dave, Alex saw increases in his velocity and consistency with all of his pitches. this resulted in him accepting a Division 1 baseball scholarship to the University of Kansas and being drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2010 MLB Draft. Dave continues to be a tremendous mentor and role model for Alex. I am thankful for the impact that Dave has had on my son's life.
Andy Cox, Father of Alex Cox. University of Kansas freshman (Santiago High School)
Dave Coggin’s Performance Fitness for Athletes has been such a huge part of our son Andrew’s overall development. Dave’s expertise has helped our son physically, mechanically, mentally, and psychologically. PFA has provided our son with tools, guidance, discipline, and positive support.
Andrew has been able to use the PFA training regimen into his first year away at college. It has helped him to compete and have the confidence to know how to prepare himself for the demands of a Division I baseball program the Big West Conference. Dave has helped with a regimen that provides an outstanding core workout with a program that also supports arm strength and health.
Dave’s pitching mentoring has provided Andrew with the proper guidance to develop his mechanics. Due to this instruction, our son is now able to have an understanding of what is good for him and how to adjust when things may be a little “off”. Dave has continued to be available for our son even now that he is away, which we are both so thankful for. Dave has become a great source of support for our son.
Dave’s experience and demeanor have also helped Andrew to prepare for the rigors of baseball at “the next level”. We feel that Dave has given our son great insight into the demands of playing baseball. He is direct, thoughtful, sincere, and honest when relating to our son. He has always been patient and supportive. Dave’s reputation in the “baseball world” is so strong, we know that so many college coaches and professional scouts value what he has to say. This reputation continues to grow because so many of Dave’s athletes keep rising to the next levels of play.
Dave’s biggest contribution for our family may be the overall development of our son into a positive member of the community. Dave has always supported family, education, health, and service. Dave always reminds our son to try and keep things simple and in the proper perspective. We believe that Dave has become an awesome, lifelong mentor for our son Andrew.
As parents, we are so thankful for all that Dave’s PFA program has done for Andrew. With or without baseball success, we are certain that our son will be a success because of Dave Coggin!

Dave Coggin's Performance Fitness for Athletes is a tremendous resource for Southern Californa baseball players, as he is that rare combination of trainer, coach, and mentor that all young athletes need in terms of guidance.
I was extremely impressed with his communication skills, along with the flexibility in his coaching technique. His facility is clean, user friendly, and versatile. But I also liked his thrist for knowledge, reaching out to some of the game's experts to provide his clients with the best guidance. Those traits, combined with his Major League experience, make him a solid option if you are looking for someone to help a baseball player improve.” May 4, 2012
